Workflows

Workflow documentation connects Day Shift’s planning artifacts and review surfaces into complete, verifiable journeys. Use Concepts first if specifications, tasks, implementation summaries, or reconciliation are unfamiliar.

To understand how Day Shift behaves across common situations and lifecycle stages, use:

For narrative journeys, start with From intake to implementation to move a registered specification through decomposition, readiness, selection, execution, and implementation evidence. Continue with Evidence review and reconciliation, then Resume, trace, archive, and release handoff. Begin with Getting Started if the workspace is not installed and healthy, or use the repository-local .day-shift/agents.md entry point for the workflow contract shipped with a workspace.

For advanced work that genuinely requires ordered phases, milestone reconciliation, persisted project review, and terminal closeout, use the Governed workflow with the Governed hierarchy reference. Governed is a gate-qualified technical path, not a Basic or ordinary Structured first-use step.
